Volunteering and Placement Opportunities

 

If you are looking for work experience to ‘fill the gap’ on your CV, gain some new skills or a reference for potential employers, GrEW can help. GrEW has a number of volunteering opportunities available including garden maintenance, grounds maintenance, painting, void clearance and cleaning. We also have opportunities in creative media, IT, Finance and HR across the RCT Homes Group.

 

 

Volunteers are important to us at GrEW and we provide all our volunteers with a range of benefits to help them get the most from their experience.

 

These benefits include:

 

• The ‘GrEW Guarantee’ – all volunteers can gain accredited qualifications in first aid, manual handling and health and safety. We also offer CSCS training and tests for volunteers who have been with GrEW for six months

 

• Travel and lunch expenses (up to £3.00 per day for lunch) are reimbursed

 

• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for volunteers in operational roles is provided

 

• Free driving lessons – exchange your volunteering hours for driving lessons with the GrEW Driving School. For every 15 hours you volunteer, you will receive  one hour driving lesson

 

• Job Club – Come along to Job Club and get support in finding your next job! We offer a range of employability workshops including writing application forms to interview skills, as well as a chance to search for jobs online and attend recruitment fairs in our Employment and Learning Zone
