Recycling Services

The recycling industry is a major contributor to sustainable business practices, there are many benefits to recycling plastics, woods and textiles. GrEW has a corporate commitment to sustainability, working towards reducing environmental impacts across the business in order to support the climate change agenda. GrEW successfully achieved the 2010 Chartered Institute of Housing Award for Increasing Environmental Sustainability.

Our team of recyclers provide a means for construction companies, demolition firms and housing associations to dispose of uPVC window frames in an ethical and environmental manner. This process saves more than a thousand window frames a month which reduces waste to landfill. Our recycling process is as follows:

  • uPCV is reclaimed and used in the manufacturing of rainwater goods
  • Metal is passed to local scrap dealers
  • Glass is used in the manufacturing of golf course bunker sand and specialist road surfaces

GrEW is proud to be pioneering recycling in Wales, which is one of the primary ways in which economies can reduce their energy output and carbon emissions. Recycling also preserves scarce natural resources, saves water and reduces pollution and dependence on landfill.

Many people are becoming more aware of the useful potential of renewable materials. These items are becoming more attractive alternatives to the environmentally aware consumer, they understand that this method can actually reduce the detrimental strain that humanity causes the environment. With the help of steadfast innovations such as our recycling programme we can work in partnership with our clients to deliver sustainable solutions.
